Peer Mentoring Training Pack

This introductory course explores the ethos of peer mentoring, increases awareness and provides young people with the basic skills required to be an effective and confident peer mentor.

Learning outcomes

Participants will have:

• Considered how peer support works and how it can help build life skills and resilience
• Increased their understanding of the peer-mentoring role
• Looked at ways to build positive relationships between mentors and mentee's
• Explored boundary and confidentiality issues to keep mentors and mentees safe
• Considered ways to successfully match mentors with mentees
• The knowledge and skills to begin peer mentoring.
